The Wilson Blade Pro GRUUV Paddle is geared toward players seeking enough weight to drive harder shots while still maintaining a less head-heavy balance than many paddles in its weight class for above average maneuverability. This 2021 version carries forward all of its predecessors technologies and adds Wilson's GRUUV holes to the center of the head for additional spin via slanted edges. Its high density (firm) core provides faster ball deflection maintaining more of the ball’s energy for more aggressive players playing at a faster, more powerful level.
As always, Wilson’s Blade family of paddles all feature a (smaller) 80 square inch head size for more maneuverability. The Blade models include a Blade Lite, Blade Smart and Blade Pro, all geared toward more competitive players who favor lower swing weights (less head weight) allowing faster paddle positioning and more aggressive play. GRUUV optimizes spin and feel through angled holes that maximize ball contact on the paddle surface and allow edges to grab the ball more effectively.
